Jupiter's Rings RevealedJupiter's rings were discovered by Voyager 1 in 1979. These rings were created by meteroid impacts on nearby moons causing dust to fly off into the planet's orbit. As viewed from Gallileo, small dust particles in Jupiter's rings and atmosphere can be seen during the eclipse of the moon.
