2.5 APOD

An Iridescent Cloud Over Colorado
These are iridescent clouds caused by the diffraction of sunlight on thinner clouds. The sun is mostly hidden by thicker clouds and different colors are being deflected by different amounts. This looks so cool since it seems like it's a photo of the reflections in water instead of in the sky. The color wavebands look like waves dispersing through the clouds.
